Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu likely to receive Heavy Rainfall & Thunderstorms

Presently a cyclonic circulation is hovering over North East India and the neighboring areas. It is likely to cause heavy rainfall over the region. Apart from it heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Assam and Meghalaya on Saturday and over Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland in Sunday.

Low barometric readings are also noticed over southern India especially over Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. The surrounding areas may also be affected in the next few days. This meteorological phenomenon will bring isolated rainfall accompanied with lighting that can cause instability in the Southern India region.

North India is also likely to be affected by a western disturbance from Monday, with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms over the western part of Himalayan region from Tuesday.

North, western and central India will witness dry weather on Saturday and Sunday, and throughout this period of time.

Eastern India will have slightly low temperature than the average, and the other parts of the country will experience either average or quite warmer environment.

During this period some areas of Western, Southern and Northwest India are likely to have around 40°C temperature or even more.

Assam and Meghalaya will have light rainfall and thunderstorms.

Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim will have thunderstorms with either snow or rain. Widespread rain and thunderstorms will also occur in Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura.

Goa, Odisha, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar islands are likely to witness only rain.

Jharkhand, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are likely to witness dry weather.
