Manoj Tiwari visited Chhath ghat and was participated in cleaning the Ghats

New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari visited Chhath ghat in New Today to see the preparation ahead of Chhat Puja. Manoj Tiwari today inspected various Chhath Ghats along with officials of Corporation, District Administration, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Police Department and took stock of the preparations. He visited over 6 Chhat Ghats to see the preparation and also participated in the clearing of Ghats. Chhat Puja is major festival in North India, devotees pray Sun God for protecting and getting blessings from God. This is four day festival and celebrated on the sixth day of Diwali.

Chhat Puja is major festival in North India major celebrations are done in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh (especially). Every year people from Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh residing in Delhi are celebration it on the Bank of Yamuna.

This year Delhi government, Delhi BJP, officials of Corporation, District Administration, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, and Police Department are making arrangements for Chhat Puja.

Delhi government is working to ensure over 1,108 Chhat ghats remains free of plastic and firecrackers. This is necessary to clean already polluted environment.

According to the Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, the number of ghats has been increased to help  devotees in doing Chhat Puja near their homes.

Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal twitted “Delhi government is making wonderful arrangements at all the ghats,” he tweeted.
