Top South Indian Blockbusters to Release This May 2019

South Indian movies with their charismatic and epoch-creating silver-screen machismo and raw power often set the tune for the Bollywood movies and often set trends for the pan-Indian mainstream movies. This May, we can expect several such blockbusters to dominate the buzz of the movie lovers.  Yes, as many as four impressive movies are on the pipeline to release with a loud reception and box office blast.

From the much anticipated and politically charged Dear Comrade to sombre and enigmatic Maharshi to big-screen Dhamaka like NGK to the comic relief of Mr Local, a whole pack of entertainment waiting for moviegoers of the South. For movie lovers from other parts of India soon we can expect them to be released in dubbed versions as well.

If you are a follower of scintillating cinematic drama and machismo of South Indian stars and always want to see them in new avatars, Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer Maharshi and Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade, are simply must-watch movies of this month. While 2019 began with a loud silver-screen bang presenting all-time great stars like Rajinikanth, Thala Ajith, Sai Pallavi and others in many charismatic roles, this may the box office seems to take on those successes with new cinematic hits.

Before you head for the theatres, let’s get a glimpse of the following movies along with their casts.

Set to release on 9th this month, Maharshi has an impressive cast with Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in lead roles. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the movie tells the story of a business tycoon named Rishi, who outlives his millionaire persona by becoming a messiah of the poor and downtrodden when he returns from abroad and settles in his native place. The story of heroism weaved around a benevolent rich man is not something new to the moviegoers but the composed acting and gritty unfolding of the storyline is what makes this movie so special.

The charismatic South Indian actor Suriya is already known for his mass appeal in and out of the silver screen. In NGK, you can see this all-time great actor in a completely different avatar. NGK which is the abbreviation of the cinematic character Nandha Gopalan Kumaran tells the story of an inspired and ruthless character who becomes the prima facie of a socio-political revolution. Scheduled to be released on the last date of the month and directed by Selvaraghavan the movie stars Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi in other lead roles.
