While people are bringing their favorite TV shows and movies on OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video during the 21 days lockdown period.Doordarshan is all set to take you through nostalgia ride by bringing back their popular shows like Ramayana, Mahabharata. Now they are going to stream Shaktimaan and Chanakya from 1st April 2020. Its an initiative taken by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to make staying the home for people more enjoyable during the ongoing lockdown.
Mukesh Khanna – Starrer Shaktimaan was one of the most popular television serials during the ’90s in India. It was especially popular among children and is returning because of the high public demand. It will be aired daily on DD national from 1st April 2020 at 1 pm, which will be telecasted for 1 hour daily.
Similarly, another popular show Chanakya is also lined up for the re-telecast on DD Bharti in April. After the government announced the return of the BR Chopra’s Mahabharata and Ramanand Sagar Ramayan due to the announcement of 21 days lockdown, there has been high public demand to re-telecast their favorite television shows.
A statement given by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, they have announced that Doordarshan will be re-telecasting the following five shows – Chanakya, Upanishad Ganga, Shaktimaan, Shriman Shrimati, and Krishna Kali. All the shows are supposed to make a comeback from the first week of April’20.
Apart from these shows, reports also suggest that Shah Rukh Khan’s television show Circus will also make a comeback.
Here is the list of the shows and their timing so that you can enjoy the shows along with your family.
Chanakya – the show will be daily telecasted in the afternoon on DD Bharti from the first week of April 2020. The show was directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
Upanishad Ganga – This show, which was also directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, will be telecasted in the afternoon band of DD Bharti from the 1st week of April’20.
Shrimaan Shrimati – This rib-tickling comedy, which was produced by Adhikari, is scheduled to be aired on 2 pm slot on DD National.
Krishna Kali – These 18 episodes shows will be telecasted daily at 8:30 pm slot on DD National.
